Invitation to discussion about inclusion of build list tables at Windows 11 version history

There is a discussion I started at Talk:Windows 11 version history § Not a changelog, regarding whether or not the article should have lists of every individual Windows 11 patch/build. However, there has been no activity on that talk page, so it would be nice if you could come in and add your own thoughts on this issue. Thanks. — AP 499D25 (talk) 23:21, 28 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Asking for Help With AfD Denodo

Good Day Computing Community,

My article Denodo has been nominated for deletion based on insufficient reliable sources. However, I feel that this is an unfair nomination, as I have provided numerous reliable, independent sources to verify the article. I have voted in the deletion discussion, stating sources that have been used for notability, amongst others. I would appreciate any input on this matter. Either areas for improvement in the article that could be flagging it for deletion, or edits directly to the article that could help keep it on Wikipedia, and also positive votes, as I believe that it is a notable company that should be on Wikipedia.

Thanks so much! Van1985 (talk) 09:15, 9 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Traces?

All of the operating systems in the line from OS/360 to z/OS have trace facilities. Initially there was only a wrap-around trace table in storage, but subsequent trace facilities allowed recording to external media. Currently z/OS supports

System trace
An augmented version of the trace table in OS/360, the system trace table contains events recognized by z/Architecture as well as events recognized by z/OS. ABEND dumps and an SVC dumps optionally capture the trace table. Some of these events are:
  1. Dispatches
  2. Interrupts
  3. I/O operations
  4. Program Call (PC) instruction
Generalized trace facility (GTF)
Introduced in OS/360, captures more events than the SVC table and includes more details. ABEND and SVC dumps optionally capture the GTF buffer, but do not capture events from the GTF output medium. AMDPRDMP and later IPCS include formatting of GTF entries.
Component trace (CT)
Similar to GTF.

I was expecting to see articles on instruction traces and system traces; they are important tools for problem diagnosis on systems that have them. I'm only familiar with the traces on IBM operating systems, but they exist on non-IBM systems as well. Is anybody in the project working on articles covering them? -- Shmuel (Seymour J.) Request for review: HIPAA article edit request (Security Rule compliance tools)

I have a pending edit request on Talk:Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act to add a brief, neutrally worded paragraph about security risk assessment tools to the Security Rule section. I have a disclosed conflict of interest (see User:Jgellatly) and am following WP:PAID guidelines.

The HIPAA article is rated B-class under WikiProject Computing. The proposed addition would improve coverage of how the Security Rule's risk analysis requirements are implemented in practice, citing the ONC/OCR Security Risk Assessment Tool, NIST SP 800-66r2, and HHS OCR enforcement guidance. The text does not name any specific commercial product.

I received initial feedback from Bluerasberry and revised accordingly, but the review has stalled since March 4. The edit request backlog currently has 404 pending requests. If any WikiProject Computing member is willing to review the proposal, feedback would be very welcome. Jgellatly (talk) 05:40, 11 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
