Welcome!

Hello, Newcumer80, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Donovan Scott did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome!  BlueboyLINY (talk) 04:01, 8 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

yes so why did you use original resource then from a Geneology record, that is what original research is? it clearly state the 1946 birth year, and sources that i added to resemble Oliver Hardy in that Film, so please go away!!! Newcumer80 (talk) 04:10, 8 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Newcumer80! I noticed that you've made several edits in order to restore a version of Donovan Scott. The impulse to repeatedly undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure that you're aware of Wikipedia's edit warring policy. Repeatedly undoing the changes made by other users in a back-and-forth fashion like this is disallowed, even if you feel what you're doing is justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages in order to try to reach a consensus with the other editors involved. If you are unable to come to an agreement at Talk:Donovan Scott, please use one of the dispute resolution options that are available in order to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of repeatedly reverting other editors' changes can help you avoid getting drawn into edit wars. Thank you. BlueboyLINY (talk) 04:30, 8 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Luther Saxon when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Binny Lum, a link pointing to the disambiguation page 3DB was added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 09:54, 22 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Alan hopgood wally.webp

source ↗

A tag has been placed on File:Alan hopgood wally.webp requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your edits are becoming disruptive. You have been warned multiple times about the need to use preview to check your edits, yet you continue to introduce unknown parameters into articles. You did this again at Michael Wohlfahrt when you modified the page, you once again did this. If you continue your disruptive editing, you may find yourself blocked from editing. Please take the time to review your edits moving forward. Zackmann (Talk to me/What I been doing) 13:59, 7 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Toni lamond entertainer.jpg

source ↗

A tag has been placed on File:Toni lamond entertainer.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press, Getty Images), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the non-free content guidelines, please add the appropriate non-free use tag and rationale.

File source problem with File:Toni lamond entetainer2.webp

source ↗

Thank you for uploading File:Toni lamond entetainer2.webp. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 02:42, 15 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Better source request for File:Tommy dysart jock.jpg

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete or generic. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact source (such as the web page, or printed document) where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the direct/bare URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:17, 15 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The above also applies to File:Kevin miles actor.jpg, File:Martin v actor.jpg, and File:Paul-cronin dave.jpg. Assuming you found all of these images online, it would be a big help if you could add a link to the websites where you found the files to their respective file descriptions. Ideally, the link should show the article/page where you found the image that also includes information about the website/publication itself. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:20, 15 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for providing links; unfortunately, though, none of them seem to work (i.e., show the image in question being used), at least not for me. Could you double check them? Ideally, the link should show the same image as you uploaded being used somewhere online, which also provides some information about the site itself. Linking to general search results (archived or otherwise) isn't very helpful, and links to old online articles which are now overwritten or otherwise redirect to another page don't aid in verification at all. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:44, 15 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
