• RIP; I didn't know him well, but we seem to have crossed paths a few times over the years and he kindly sent me a Christmas message after I'd helped him out with history-merging a couple of times. • He was my favorite Wikipedian because he helped me so much over the years although I have not seen him editing for a long time. Michael helped me save several of my early articles from deletion while they were at AfD. He also helped calm me down when things got stressful between me and other editors.
