Question from Heavycrownpress (19:20, 20 March 2026)

The article on Charlotte Casiraghi is concerning. It contains a lot of irrelevant information that seems like trivia. It just feels like a page written by fans. I would like to start by improving its references and go from there. In the long run, it seems like a broad revision is needed. --Heavycrownpress (talk) 19:20, 20 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, welcome. What's the question? HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 19:23, 20 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, yeah, I guess I forgot to ask it. My question is, can I just jump in and start redoing it? I feel like that would be not the right approach. Heavycrownpress (talk) 19:28, 20 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't start with a whole rewrite, but adding some (reliable) references and more (relevant) information is always welcome.
I took a glance at the article, and overall it seems like it's OK. What are your concerns with it? HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 21:08, 20 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
The equestrian section is the worst, in my opinion. Like, listing her horses and events attended... Unless, the event is something where she achieved first place or a significant medal, that just... has nothing to do with her importance as a subject on Wikipedia. Question from BreadSmoothie (03:14, 30 March 2026)

Linking edits are easy because it tells you where to look. Is there a good way to find what needs changing in a copyedit? --BreadSmoothie (talk) 03:14, 30 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure I understand your question. Can you elaborate? HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 03:27, 30 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Lickmah on Jenny Saville (03:59, 4 April 2026)

Hello, how to add a citation --Lickmah (talk) 03:59, 4 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, sorry for the delay. WP:CITE has all the information about citations. Short version: use <ref>Your citation here</ref> at the place you want to cite.
Since most citations are to web pages, you can also see the {{Cite web}} template for ways to make that easier.
Let me know if you have more questions. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 17:24, 6 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question from GrandTrine2012 (21:53, 8 April 2026)

Hello! I had noticed a page where a reference link goes to an error page and says, "Unable to determine IP address." What do you do to remove the reference link? --GrandTrine2012 (talk) 21:53, 8 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

References are usually managed in line - see WP:CITE for a lot of info on how they work.
You can edit the section and find the bit between <ref>...</ref> tags, and either replace it with a working reference, or delete the whole ref block entirely. Let me know if you need more help - send me a link to the page and which reference is bad. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 21:58, 8 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi HundredVisionsAndRevisions, I'm wondering if you could explain your move close for my proposal to move this page to SUNY Cobleskill, rather than relisting it? There is low participation here and I presented, imo, a very strong case for COMMONNAME that aligns also with CONCISE and ACROTITLE, and is CONSISTENT with the (lack of) consistency for SUNY pages. The only oppose also cites ACROTITLE and that the acronym is "not at all clear to the average WP user," which is not part of WP policy or guidance. Thanks BrechtBro (talk) 14:03, 9 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

As a closer, I'm not really evaluating arguments, I'm just looking to see if there's consensus.
  • there was no support for the move
  • there was opposition to the move
  • there was a previous RM that included additional opposition
If you really think there's a chance of establishing consensus, I'm happy to reopen it, but I think it's highly unlikely you'll see any additional participation that moves towards consensus to move at this time. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 15:36, 9 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
The previous RM was bad, and the opposition there is copy & pasted as much as that RM itself and shouldn't be a factor here. I do think there's a possibility of establishing consensus, per a similar RM with some support at Talk:State University of New York at Geneseo#Requested move 22 March 2026, as this RM is a stronger case than that one. BrechtBro (talk) 17:42, 9 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I've reopened it and linked the Geneseo conversation. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 17:54, 9 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Murtala bros (11:36, 26 April 2026)

Hello sir please how can i add my profile picture --Murtala bros (talk) 11:36, 26 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

We don't have profile images here. WP:NOTCV - Wikipedia isn't really about who we are as individuals, it's about who we are as editors and what we do. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 14:28, 26 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Murtala bros (20:34, 26 April 2026)

Helo sir can i totaiiy change the contents and replace it with my own contents after i have coducted some reserches and public view about an issue or imformations --Murtala bros (talk) 20:34, 26 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

If you mean "can I completely rewrite an article" then technically I guess you could, but I would recommend making a lot more smaller edits before you attempt that.
If you mean can you add information or update an article, then yes please do, just make sure you follow the guidelines and cite your sources. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 21:32, 26 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question from F.Luce.Mantle (04:40, 28 April 2026)

Hi I am wondering if I have to footnote a webpage link to an already existing wiki page, that I am editing. If so, are there clear guidelines please? Thank you --F.Luce.Mantle (talk) 04:40, 28 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

If you are linking from one article to another and it's a relevant link, you can just do it. Links between articles make wikipedia great. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 14:30, 28 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

It's probably the first citation in the Controversies section:
{{Cite web |last=News |first=GISELLE OMBAY, GMA Integrated |date=2026-02-03 |title=Lacson, Sotto: Senate presidency ‘dangled’ to Legarda |url=https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/topstories/nation/975168/lacson-senate-presidency-dangled-to-legarda/story/ |access-date=2026-05-27 |website=GMA News Online |language=en}}
The last name param is set to "News".
You probably want:
{{Cite web |last=Ombay |first=Giselle |date=2026-02-03 |title=Lacson, Sotto: Senate presidency ‘dangled’ to Legarda |url=https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/topstories/nation/975168/lacson-senate-presidency-dangled-to-legarda/story/ |access-date=2026-05-27 |website=GMA News Online |language=en}} HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 21:32, 27 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Partyboi7 (00:35, 16 May 2026)

Hello, my edits for the Athens District High Schools page were perfectly sourced and correct, and they were taken down by a moderator called "Dafootballguy" How do i get them unreverted? --Partyboi7 (talk) 00:35, 16 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The changes you made are considered vandalism. Not only are they not factually correct and unsourced, they're just disruptive. We're happy to have you here as an editor if you want to make contributions to the encyclopedia, but edits like that will never be allowed. HundredVisionsAndRevisions (talk) 02:18, 16 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
they were factually correct, and both the changes i made had at least one source. ~2026-29422-16 (talk) 02:20, 16 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Commodity move/swap

Ozzy messed up the move, which probably should have been discussed since it impacted hundreds of pages. And then it looks like you tried to fix some of the mistakes, but you put the archives to the wrong place. I believe I have straightened everything out. No fuss, just wanted to let you know. :) ← Metallurgist (talk) 04:08, 18 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
