Referring to Your Sacamantecas Article: Who is H. J. Tarry?

I was reading your article on Sacamantecas, and I couldn't find anything on the "H. J. Tarry" mentioned in the article. Is he mentioned in Brenan's book? ~2026-10791-88 (talk) 22:29, 2 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@~2026-10791-88: Yes:
https://www.google.es/books/edition/South_From_Granada/Lw84AAAAIAAJ?hl=es&gbpv=1&printsec=frontcover&bsq=tarry
The book excerpt I can see mentions Sunday Times (September 1954).
I tried to find it at the The Times archive but couldn't.
Maybe the Sunday Times is archived somewhere else.

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nobel Peace Prize controversies, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Park Ji-won was added.

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Kurutzesantu Museum when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Information icon Hello, I'm Patar knight. I noticed that you have been adding short descriptions to articles. However, the short descriptions you added are too long to be effective, such as at Kalalah. The guideline is that short descriptions should ideally be under 40 characters long, and no longer than needed. For more information, see the short description guidelines. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you. -- Patar knight - chat/contributions 05:33, 7 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
