Tricesimo (Friulian: Tresesin) is a comune (municipality) in the Regional decentralization entity of Udine in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 9 kilometres (6 mi) north of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,471 and an area of 17.5 square kilometres (6.8 mi2).3
The municipality of Tricesimo contains the frazioni (boroughs) Ara Grande, Ara Piccola, Felettano, Fraelacco, Leonacco, Braidamatta, Colgallo, and Adorgnano.
Tricesimo borders the following municipalities: Cassacco, Pagnacco, Reana del Rojale, Tarcento, Tavagnacco, Treppo Grande, Fagagna.
