Tamil Brahmi

I had wanted to add a row for Tamil Brahmi but it as far as I know it's not in Unicode and there aren't individual .svg images of each letter on Wikimedia Commons like there are for the other non-Unicode rows here. If anyone knows differently, please let me know. – Scyrme (talk) 01:54, 4 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Merge {{Brahmi evolution}} and {{Brahmi-Kushana Brahmi-Tocharian}}?

{{Brahmi-Kushana Brahmi-Tocharian}} only has 1 use, which is on Tocharian script. Should it be merged into {{Brahmi evolution}}? It wouldn't be difficult to add another conditional row to {{Brahmi evolution}} to include Tocharian. {{Brahmi evolution}} has a parameter to change the title, which could be set to the one used by {{Brahmi-Kushana Brahmi-Tocharian}} on Tocharian script when used on that page. {{Brahmi evolution}} also has parameters to exclude the irrelevant rows.

However, {{Brahmi-Kushana Brahmi-Tocharian}} includes vowels and splits everything across two tables. Merging it into {{Brahmi evolution}} using the easiest method would result in losing these features. Keeping them would mean a redesign of {{Brahmi evolution}} to also use two tables and adding vowels, though I'm unsure if adding vowels is feasible. – Scyrme (talk) 22:13, 6 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]
