Veľká Ida (Hungarian: Nagyida) is a village and municipality in Košice-okolie District in the Kosice Region of eastern Slovakia.

History

In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1251, in 1275 it was recorded as Ida.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of 210 metres (690 ft)3 and covers an area of 31.00 km2 (11.97 sq mi) (2025).4

The village has its own birth registry and police force.
