GoodPop is an American Certified B Corporation and one of the leading better-for-you frozen novelty brands in the United States. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, GoodPop produces better-for-you frozen treats including fruit pops, shelf-stable freezer pops, dairy and non-dairy frozen desserts. The company was founded in 2009 by then University of Texas student Daniel Goetz.

The company was founded in 2009 by then University of Texas student Daniel Goetz.4

History

GoodPop was founded out of a desire to provide a healthier and more sustainable alternative to traditional frozen treats. GoodPop began selling its products at farmers markets in Austin in 2009.5

Products

GoodPop's products include frozen treats made with real fruit juice, no added sugar and plant-based ingredients, as well as non-dairy and dairy-based frozen desserts.6 Products are made with organic or non-GMO ingredients and are 150 calories or less.7 GoodPop products come in 20+ flavors and are available nationwide at Whole Foods, Sprouts, Publix, Walmart, Kroger, Costco, and other retailers.8

In 2025, GoodPop introduced Electrolyte Freezer Pops, shelf-stable pops made with fruit juice and added electrolytes and no added sugar. The following year, the company launched Fruit Sours, a line of sour frozen fruit pops with a patent-pending candy coating.8

In June 2025, GoodPop's Watermelon Pop went viral after content creator Eli McCann posted a TikTok about his husband's fixation with the product, garnering over two million likes. GoodPop responded by entering a paid brand partnership with McCann which was covered by Ad Age as an example of a brand successfully capitalizing on organic fan enthusiasm.9

GoodPop products have been certified by The Non-GMO Project since 2014, at the time the first frozen novelty brand to achieve such certification.10

Social Impact & Mission

GoodPop is a social impact company11 that strives for end to end corporate social responsibility. GoodPop's non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, The Pledge Good Foundation, was set up to support the causes that GoodPop and its employees care about, including equity and inclusion, the environment, food security, and animal rights.12

In 2022, GoodPop and the Pledge Good Foundation donated 1.5 million meals in the US through its partner, Feeding America.13

GoodPop is the official sponsor of the United States chapter of international non-profit Good Deeds Day, a global movement that aims to unite people from more than 100 countries to do good deeds and volunteer projects each year in April. Since 2007, millions of people from thousands of communities, organizations and businesses have participated.14

In April 2023, GoodPop became the first food brand to receive Plastic Neutral Certification from 4ocean, an ocean cleanup organization. The partnership has offset more than 500,000 pounds of plastic.15

In July 2025, GoodPop co-founded the Good Food Collective (GFC), a coalition of more than 25 food brands, organizations, and nutrition experts focused on greater transparency in the food industry. Founding members included LesserEvil, Quinn, and branding agency Interact. The coalition's first initiative was advocating for a stronger front-of-package nutrition label, which the group submitted as a formal comment to the FDA's proposed rulemaking on front-of-package labeling before the public comment period closed on July 15, 2025. 16
