Eric Lamont Downing (born September 16, 1978), is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He played for Syracuse and was selected in the third round of the 2001 NFL Draft.1
Early life and college
Downing attended John F. Kennedy High School, in Paterson, New Jersey, where he was selected for the first-team All-State.2
Downing played college football at Syracuse University for Paul Pasqualoni. He was named to the ALL-Big East team in 2000.3
