Chopper I

Chopper I is a vertically scrolling shooter arcade video game developed and published by SNK in 1988. In Japan it was released as The Legend of Air Cavalry.

Chopper I is a vertically scrolling shooter arcade video game developed and published by SNK in 1988. In Japan it was released as The Legend of Air Cavalry.1

The objective of the top-down game is to infiltrate enemy territory and essentially destroy all objects. The game can be played with 1 or 2 players, each controlling one helicopter.

Reception

In Japan, Game Machine listed Chopper I on their July 15, 1988 issue as being the ninth most-successful table arcade unit of the month.2

Legacy

The game was re-released for the PlayStation Portable in August 2012.3
