History

Bicom Systems began researching and creating telecoms management software in 2003.4 An Asterisk pioneer,5 Bicom Systems launched the first ever open standards turnkey telephony system in 2004.

Bicom Systems has seven products6 including a desktop and mobile softphone,7 an IP PBX telephony platform,8 and an IP Key Systems product.9 Supported hardware manufacturers include Polycom, Yealink Network Technology,1011 and others.

In 2026, users reported receiving an email from the company announcing that it would be remotely disabling their software if the users did not upgrade, despite the users paying for "perpetual" or "lifetime" software licenses. 12
