Aryob (Pashto: اریوب) or Aryub is the main town of Zazi District in the Paktia Province of Afghanistan where the Zazi tribe of Pakhtuns live.1 The terms Arya, Aryo, and Ariya have origins in Sanskrit and Indo-Aryan culture. These terms have been used historically to describe cultural and linguistic groups associated with the Vedic tradition.
