ZeroHash (stylized as zerohash) is an American financial technology company, founded in 2017 and headquartered in Chicago, that provides crypto-asset and stablecoin infrastructure to financial institutions.12

History

In January 2022, the company raised a US$105 million Series D round from investors including Bain Capital Ventures, Point72 Ventures, and Nyca Partners.34 According to Fortune, the round valued the company at US$340 million.2

The company has partnered with Stripe on stablecoin services and with Securitize on tokenization projects involving asset managers including BlackRock and Franklin Templeton.25

In September 2025, the company raised US$104 million in a round led by Interactive Brokers, with participation from Morgan Stanley, SoFi, and Apollo Global Management, at a valuation above US$1 billion.1678 The same year, Morgan Stanley selected the company to provide crypto-trading infrastructure for E*Trade.9 In October 2025, CNBC reported that OnePay, a fintech company majority-owned by Walmart, planned to offer Bitcoin and Ether trading through zerohash's infrastructure.1011

In October 2025, zerohash Europe received a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license from the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets.12

Mastercard held acquisition talks with the company in late 2025, reportedly valuing it at up to US$2 billion; zerohash withdrew in January 2026 to remain independent.131415 By May 2026, Mastercard had dropped plans for a strategic investment in the company after acquiring the stablecoin firm BVNK.16
