Current Maps for the India metropolitan MRT systems

Dear @Seloloving,

I'm mighty impressed with the maps that you have generated for the Singapore MRT system. I request you to expand this to the Indian Rapid Transit system targeting the main metropolitan cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai so that it can be used for keeping the metro stations up-to-date. I can share the currently running list of services for the above mentioned metro systems and the future lines whenever possible. ~2026-36117-54 (talk) 02:34, 22 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I appreciate the love for the maps.
To be honest, I am not very well versed in MRT systems outside of Singapore.
Maybe you can recommend one city first? I am rather overwhelmed at work these days... Seloloving (talk) 18:08, 22 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Seloloving,
You can first start with the capital city of India, New Delhi since that's the largest metro in India with a distance of 350 + kms and then come down to Mumbai. Harshul12345 (talk) 06:39, 23 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question about MRT Route Maps

Good afternoon @Seloloving,

I hope you've having a good week! I've been a long-time admirer of the route maps you've made for the Singapore MRT system pages. The consistency of your work is truly impressive, I keep seeing you all over the wiki.

I'm currently working on a personal, fictional MRT project based off the old "Northshore Line" LRT for my own private wiki on Miraheze. I'm currently trying to make a route map that matches your style, but I just can't seem to re-create the same map style that you use.

I'm reaching out to see if you would be willing to share what you use to create these maps, and if you have any tips on making it. Perhaps any alternatives if it's paid or inaccessible?

Any advice you could offer on making the maps would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Hello Astro13A,
I primarily use Inkscape, though I am also incorporating Affinity 3 into my workflow now. The files I upload use the .svg extension, as they are scalable vector graphics. You can download one of them and open it in Inkscape.
From there, you can experiment with moving the items in the file around. The train routes are primary comprised of stokes (outlines). I suggest you get used to manipulating the strokes first.
Feel free to ask if you have anything else. Seloloving (talk) 15:11, 24 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Good photo request scheme

Hello, thank you for providing numerous photos across Singapore. I have formulated the previous list of lack of photos into a scheme. Since I found out that there are so many photos that are bad quality, or old, or just doesn't exist, therefore I created Good photo requested scheme to list out the photos required. I would like to invite you to participate, try to eliminate such blackhole of photos, especially in Southeast Asia. Would you mind to? Thank you! owennson (Meeting RoomCertificates) 15:18, 1 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Owennson Usually I just edit for fun these days... I can still take photos upon request though... will have a look over the weekend as I am really tired. Seloloving (talk) 16:51, 1 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

FYI: user page is too wide ... must scroll

Nice pics of Singapore MRT!

FYI: there is something odd about your User page: it is very wide, and the right side extends off the right side of my (desktop, Firefox) screen. My browser displays a horizontal scroll bar on your user page, and I must scroll to right to see/use the "Show" buttons on the lower collapsed regions. Very annoying. I've never encountered that before in any WP user page.

Suggest you find out what is "too wide" in those scroll regions and make it narrower.

No big deal, but I thought you would want to know. Noleander (talk) 14:40, 5 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thanks...I will try and see what's wrong on the weekend. I am still on the old Wiki style so maybe there's something weird about it.
Thanks for letting me know. Seloloving (talk) 18:32, 5 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
