Regarding the edits you make without providing specific sources
This is about the repeated edits you have been making to the same section of this article over the past few days. Although we have reverted those changes, you continue to reapply them. Regarding the sentence you are modifying, there is a clear reference on page 314 of the book Manual of the Vanni Districts (1895) written by J. P. Lewis. J. P. Lewis was the administrative officer in charge of the Vanni District during the colonial period. If you can present a source that supersedes this reference, please discuss it. If no such source is available, please refrain from editing that section of the article. If you continue to attempt unnecessary edits based solely on your own preference without any valid reason, we will be compelled, though reluctantly, to inform Wikipedia administrators and request restrictions on your user account. - Here is the Manual of the Vanni Districts (1895)

- page 314, or anywhere in the book does not make any of the claims that you made. I suspect you are quoting from a dishonest and biased source which is distorting JP Lewis words, or at worse lying. Have you even read the original source yourself? Before citing a source you should cross check it.
- The main source you are citing for that page is highly biased and is making a few false and contentious claims. I am reverting back. Metta79 (talk) 07:09, 4 April 2026 (UTC)
- I acknowledge that my initial submission of sources was in error. However, regarding the concerns raised about the content of this Wikipedia article concerning South Indian Tamil slaves, I am now providing specific primary and secondary sources that confirm the transportation of slaves from South India during the Dutch colonial period. These sources are not mere opinions but consist of official memoirs of the governors of that era and recognized academic research:
- 1.Memoir of Rycklof van Goens (1675): In the official memoir delivered to his successor (pages 26-28), Governor Rycklof van Goens describes the importation of slaves from the Madurai and Tanjore coasts of South India as a formal government policy to develop tobacco cultivation in Jaffna.
- 2.Memoir of Hendrik Adriaan van Rheede (1697): Between pages 25-28, it is specifically stated how the Dutch East India Company (VOC) actively brought in slaves from India to achieve its agrarian objectives.
- 3.Philippus Baldaeus (1672): In 'A True and Exact Description of Ceylon' by the Dutch minister Baldaeus (pages 712-715), he provides direct evidence regarding the transport of slaves to the Jaffna region and their employment in plantation work.
- 4.The Adaptable Peasant by Dr. Nirmal Ranjith Dewasiri (2008): In a modern scientific analysis based on Dutch archival records (pages 190-205), historian Dr. Nirmal Ranjith Dewasiri clearly confirms the history and social impact of these slave migrations.
- Since these sources demonstrate that this fact is historically accurate, any attempt to remove this cited information should be accompanied by counter-sources of superior or equal historical weight. KSLwiki24 09:47, 4 April 2026 (UTC)
- South Indian slaves refers to those of the Dalit castes such as the Paraiyar/Pallar who were brought as slave labour to work for the Vellalar. The Vellalar used slave labour. You claimed the Vellalar were brought as slave labour which is a lie. Metta79 (talk) 09:49, 4 April 2026 (UTC)
- If so, let's remove the name 'Vellala'. But aren't those sources more than enough to prove that people brought from South India were settled in the Vanni areas? KSLwiki24 11:28, 4 April 2026 (UTC)
- No. If you make a specific, precise claim that 'Tamils were brought to Kurundimalai or Vanni in Dutch period" you need to support it with reliable sources. Not general source about Dutch era transportation of slave labour to the Jaffna peninsula. Metta79 (talk) 11:32, 4 April 2026 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war, according to the reverts you've made to Kurundi Raja Maha Vihara. This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate with others, avoid editing disruptively, and try to reach a consensus – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.
Important points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive behavior – regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.
You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution if discussions reach an impasse. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you continue to engage in edit warring, you may be blocked from editing. ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 12:17, 4 April 2026 (UTC)
