Hello, I'm JavaHurricane. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, IRIS Shahid Soleimani, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Fox News is not a reliable source. JavaHurricane 03:42, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notice. I thought Fox News was considered reliable given that it was cited on List of equipment of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (reference number 6), where I found out that the IRIS Shahid Soleimani was destroyed, but the page IRIS Shahid Soleimani did not display the vessel as destroyed. Thanks for your help! MathLoverYeah (talk) 21:14, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
- I just found a more reliable source stating that the Soleimani was destroyed. I'll add that reference to the List of equipment of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy. MathLoverYeah (talk) 21:20, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
- The US military and government's claims (which are themselves extremely fluid and not known for their veracity) should not be treated as reliable sources. Please wait for independent analysis or reporting on the matter. JavaHurricane 05:41, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 05:13, 8 April 2026 (UTC)
- Got it. When I tried to add a citation to U.S. Sank Iran’s ‘Soleimani’ Warship, Hegseth Says (a WSJ article) within the table (in the "Current Ships" section), I looked on Wikipedia:Citing sources - Wikipedia and saw no information about how to add citations within the table. If there is some way to add those citations (ideally within the visual editor), I will add the source and the related information. MathLoverYeah (talk) 15:22, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- Wikipedia formatting can be super fussy (and easily damaged), so definitely always use Preview and/or your sandbox until you get the hang of it. Adding a citation in a table works the same as adding one anywhere else, with the caveat that you need to be super careful not to remove or change any of the table structure itself. WP:REFBEGIN may behelpful, and in a pinch, you can always just add the URL of your source, surrounded by ref tags, like this:
- <ref>URL of source goes here</ref>
- Let me know if I can help with anything, Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 17:01, 11 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Swatjester. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, but the source cited does not verify that content. It has been removed for now, but if you would like to include a citation that directly supports the content and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please review your sources more carefully -- the source you added for this claim explicitly says the opposite of what your edit says. I sincerely hope this wasn't intentional source misrepresentation. ⇒SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 23:01, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
- I just noticed you did this a second time, at List of weapons of the United States Marine Corps, where you claimed the M16A4 was fully retired, and quoted a source that explicitly states the opposite, that it has not been fully phased out. Again, per our policies it is incumbent on you to verify that the claims you are making are directly supported by the sources you are providing. This requires that you actually read the source material fully and take care that they do not contradict the claims you are making. I strongly suggest you do not let this continue happening, as repeated violations of our sourcing policies (especially ones like this) can be considered disruptive editing.⇒SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 23:07, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
- So sorry about this. I thought that I was intended to be broader in my paraphrasing of the content to make sure the content was accessible. I'll be much more careful about this in the future. As for the second article, I'll change the edit to be more specific to which parts of the USMC the M16A4 was retired in. Once again, I'm so sorry about this incident. - The followup edit is much improved, thank you. ⇒SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 23:34, 23 May 2026 (UTC)
