Mass deletion - any more dab pages to rescue?

Hallo, I saw today on my watch list that a hatnote on Headingley had been deleted because it pointed to a deleted disambiguation page. I see that Headingley (disambiguation) had been created on 17 March 2026, replacing a rather cumbersome hatnote, by the now blocked User:Good actions only, and deleted by you on 20 April. Fair enough, and I've re-created that necessary dab page, but I wonder whether there were any other disambiguation pages which were deleted as part of this NUKE: I care about dab pages and would like to have a go at reconstructing any others, or reinstating hatnotes which they replaced if that's a better solution. I don't like to see navigational links lost.

Have you got a list I could see of those NUKEd pages, on which dab pages can be identified? Unless the blocked editor went in for page moves, I suppose any dab pages they created are likely to have "x (disambiguation)" titles like this one.

I notice we're near-contemporaries in length of editing - and by coincidence we're also just 16 places apart in WP:List of Wikipedians by number of edits. Happy WikiBirthday for 1 August! PamD 14:41, 10 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Pam. So we started together, and have kept up almost exactly the same average rate of editing for 20 years. Amazing. (Well, 20 years for you, and almost 20 for me.) If you add in the edits from my alternative account, JBW3, I'm a bit further away from you on the list, but still close. A very slightly belated happy WikiBirthday to you too. 😊 🎈 🎂 We also can't be more than a few years different in age at the most.
I am shocked, shocked, I tell you, to discover that I deleted a page related to Headingley, as I once lived there. (I am almost certain that it was you to whom I once mentioned my experience of the Brotherton Library, but if so then maybe it was in an email, because I can't find it in either your or my talk page history. I wonder whether you were the librarian I once lied to, and said I was a student at the university, so that I could use the photocopier.)
On less interesting, but perhaps more important, matters, as far as I can tell the only other disambiguation pages from the same account which have been deleted are Dorofeeva (disambiguation), Port-Cartier (disambiguation), Grande Cache (disambiguation), & Maison Des Champs (disambiguation). JBW (talk) 18:50, 10 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Well, that's been an entertaining morning which I should have been spending on real life stuff! I've added women with assorted spellings of "Dorofeeva" to the existing Dorofeyev page (and a couple of men with the "Dorofeev" spelling), added a "See also" to Port-Cartier, added a hatnote to Grande Cache and created a redirect for Maison Des Champs, linked from a hatnote at Maison-des-Champs (not ideal, but he does get a mention in several pages and seems an almost-notable, though to my mind completely misguided, person). I think that covers all the missing links. Thanks for the list.
I lived in Far Headingley for many years, working at the university, before migrating to the other side of the Pennines, initially to look after Mother. By the time she died, 5 years later, I'd gone native and was president of the WI, so we stayed here. Very different from Leeds (to which I return to visit the dentist from time to time). @PamD: Wow! That must be a pretty damned good dentist, to be worth travelling almost 100 miles to. JBW (talk) 10:12, 11 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
He's been looking after my teeth since he graduated in about 1984: I like the continuity! PamD 17:50, 12 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Request for deleted wikitext

Hello. I created the deleted page "Gustavo Jiménez (fictional)".

I am not asking you to restore the page to the encyclopedia, but I would just like access to the deleted wikitext so I can continue working on it elsewhere.

The page was originally a subpage for my account. I wanted ChatGPT to tell me what I could improve, so I chose to make it an article. I was not aware that I would publicly publish it to everyone and thought that it would still be under my account. I tried tomove the page back to "User:" or "Draft:", but I didn't find the function.

Would you be willing to give back the Wikitext or restore the page to my userspace (User:3pleToast/Gustavo Jiménez (fictional)) or otherwise provide a copy?

Thank you. 3pleToast (talk) 11:41, 13 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Email cannot be found in inbox nor spam

Hello, I hate to disturb again, but I don't seem to be able to find the email you sent me, containing the wikicode.

While Wikipedia says that I have recieved mail, I cannot find it in my inbox, nor in the spam folder. I do however recieve mails from Wikipedia stating that comments in "Talk" have been posted.

If you know what's causing this issue I'd be very greatful if you could help further.

Thank you. 3pleToast (talk) 15:36, 13 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@3pleToast: I have no idea what is causing that problem, but I have a suggestion. Send me an email telling me your email address, so I can try sending it directly to you, rather than via Wikipedia's email system. If that doesn't work there are other things we can try.
Some time ago I had a problem with Wikipedia emails not being delivered, so I set up an email account with a different email provider, just for Wikipedia emails, and the problem stopped. If you find the problem doesn't go away you may like to try shifting to a different email account too. (I was using Yandex, and switched to Yahoo.) JBW (talk) 16:04, 13 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I think I already did send you an email, but I'll send one again.
Thank you so much for the help :) 3pleToast (talk) 16:07, 13 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@3pleToast: OK, I've tried sending it again. Let me know whether you get it this time. JBW (talk) 19:57, 13 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
It worked now. Thank you so very much. 3pleToast (talk) 20:46, 13 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, JBW,
I'm not sure what code you sent this editor but it looks like they used it to recreate their deleted article in their sandbox. No references in this bio so it might also be entirely fictional. Liz Read! Talk! 21:59, 13 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I can assure you that I will not publish the article publicly. I also wanna use it for a creative project that will be a user subpage, so no one will have access to it, but the page is entirely fictional. 3pleToast (talk) 07:15, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I will delete it though to not cause anymore trouble. 3pleToast (talk) 07:26, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

"Julie Andrews" nonsense

Hi, JB. Just a heads-up that an LTA you rangeblocked over a year ago has returned.   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 11:40, 18 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Skywatcher68: Yes. There's also been a number of other temporary accounts that look as though they may well have been the same person, but a frustrating effect of the temporary account system, as opposed to the old IP editing system, is that after a while the IP addresses are gone, so it's impossible to know whether a range block is suitable. Sigh... JBW (talk) 14:10, 18 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Real American Freestyle event articles

Please stop reverting my removals of deleted files. Sumanuil. (talk to me) 01:54, 21 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Sumanuil. With a little searching I found what you are referring to. I was reverting editing by a disruptive editor who was evading blocks. On a few of the pages concerned, there was an intervening edit by you, which I aimed to exclude from the revert, but on three of the articles concerned I accidentally included your edit in the revert. My apology for that. As for asking me to stop, the three edits in question all took place in a period of 2 minutes, which was over more than 14 hours before you posted your message here; I had indeed stopped, long ago.
