hello, you mentioned I didn't have a source for my edit to Time zone. how would you site the source itself? like for example, if you look at any vectors table, eg earth: https://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/api/horizons.api?command=399&TABLE_TYPE='VECTORS'&format=text, you can see an explanation about tdb after line 126. or if you look at the default page for, say, hubble: https://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/api/horizons.api?command=-48&format=text, the little time blurb starts on line 90 now and says how they were converted from tdb. rokke (talk) 22:06, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

- I was providing links basically to show I'm not like just making things up or whatever. maybe I'm just bad at finding sources, but I didn't see other sites talking about it in the hour or so I spent looking. I know wikipedians aren't supposed to do original research, is this a case where primary sources are ok? rokke (talk) 07:38, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
- I think I see what you were going for when you provided those links. When you said "vectors table", for some reason I thought you were referring to a table used in the Wikipedia article.
- I'd suggest raising the question at the article's Talk page, where people more familiar with the subject matter can weigh in. Personally I think you'd need a source that explicitly states the claim you're making. I don't really see how the links you provided above, for instance, really establish anything other than that NASA was using it in that particular instance? It feels a little bit like you're extrapolating, but I'm not sure. "May" in particular, sounds problematic to me. The article is about timezones, not about the specifics of tracking spacecraft.
