I have asked you before to please stop posting on my talk page. I already receive notifications whenever you reply to one of my posts, so these posts to notify me you have replied are unnecessary and unwanted. Please read WP:USERTALKSTOP, and don't post on my talk page again. Day Creature (talk) 16:54, 18 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

I responded to your latest reply to the latest edit request on Talk:Orangutan. ~2026-25968-59 (talk) 12:17, 28 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

You are continuing to ignore my request to stop making these unnecessary posts on my talk page. Unfortunately, I'll have no choice but to seek administrative intervention if this behavior continues. Day Creature (talk) 17:15, 28 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Formal Inquiry and Appeal: User: Day Creature

Greetings. I am writing to kindly request a review of my current account status. My recent contributions, while expansive in scope, were driven by a sincere dedication to elevating the academic rigor and structural clarity of the content. I now recognize that such a significant volume of edits, though well-intentioned, may have inadvertently triggered concerns regarding editorial stability. I have the utmost respect for the collaborative spirit of Wikipedia and the diligent oversight provided by the administrative team. It is my goal to contribute to this global repository of knowledge with the highest professional standards. Moving forward, I am eager to align my editorial workflow with the community’s preferred incremental approach to ensure seamless integration. I would appreciate the opportunity to resume my contributions and look forward to your thoughtful consideration. Custos Veritatis (talk) 14:47, 28 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Note: I removed the unblock template, as it made it seem as if Day Creature was blocked and making an appeal. MetalBreaksAndBends (talk) 14:56, 28 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
@MetalBreaksAndBends I wish to offer a brief clarification to ensure procedural accuracy. Custos Veritatis is indeed my primary account identity. The unblock template was utilized to formally address an automated restriction currently affecting my editorial access, which appears to have been misinterpreted as a third-party inquiry.
I kindly request the restoration of the original appeal to facilitate a professional administrative review. Maintaining the integrity of this dialogue is essential as I seek to align my future contributions with the community’s highest standards. Your assistance in rectifying this misapprehension is greatly valued. Custos Veritatis (talk) 15:06, 28 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
DC isn't a bot and there are no restrictions on your account. If you need the attention of an administrator, you can try WP:AN or one of the other boards on the notice at the top, but from what i've seen, that doesn't appear warranted. MetalBreaksAndBends (talk) 15:16, 28 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
@MetalBreaksAndBends "I appreciate your assessment; however, while there may not be a formal administrative block on the account, I am currently facing a localized system suspension on the 'Suggested Edits' feature until May 5th. It appears to be an automated response from the software's internal filters rather than a manual intervention.
I simply wished to clarify this distinction to ensure the administrative record reflects the technical reality of my current access. Thank you for your continued patience and guidance." Custos Veritatis (talk) 15:27, 28 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
I'm not familiar with suspension from suggested edits, so your best bet would be to ask around at the teahouse. MetalBreaksAndBends (talk) 15:33, 28 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hi Custos Veritatis, you may have ended up on my talk page because I reverted some of your changes to short descriptions which were made with the suggested edits feature. I'm likewise not familiar with how suspensions from suggested edits work, but in the meantime you're free to edit without using that feature. Please do read WP:SHORTDESC before making any other changes to short descriptions, and I'd suggest adding short descriptions to articles that lack them rather than changing existing ones. 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine

Thank you for the recent edit on 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, and for the reply on the talk page. I'm sorry but i have also to say there is a little syntax error on your edit in the article page.. just a "{" more than due.. please fix this. ~2026-28622-16 (talk) 07:46, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Oops. Thanks for letting me know, it looks like someone else fixed it. Day Creature (talk) 17:21, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I'm wondering if you could take a look at what's been happening in the incipit of a related entry, Putin's recognition of the Donbas republics, the edits since May 10th; It seems that two users (LordCollaboration and Rsk6400) believe it's better to keep in incipit section the opinions of probably "Gaza genocide" deniers, rather than the - very important - part of Putin's speech, the ultimatum to Kiev to cease hostilities.
I hope you agree with me that opinions about Putin's statements shouldn't be in the opening (even more if those who say Putin was lying when he spoke of a genocide underway in Donbass appear to be partly the same people who later denied there was a genocide in Gaza), but should be placed only in the secondary "reactions" section. Thank you. ~2026-28988-67 (talk) 17:46, 13 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
My honest advice to you is to avoid getting into content disputes on controversial subjects as an unregistered user. Your editing on that article is a violation of WP:ARBECR, which limits editing on the Russo-Ukrainian war to extended-confirmed users. Day Creature (talk) 17:52, 14 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

How do you end up responding to so many edit requests?

I'd like to do that. But how? Is there a way to be notified of edit requests? — Princess Micky (talk) 10:33, 14 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

I check User:AnomieBOT/EPERTable and the related tables. We could always use more people helping with edit requests, glad to see you're interested. Day Creature (talk) 17:54, 14 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you so much. That's more help than I expected. — Princess Micky (talk) 16:07, 15 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Pretium Partners, edits requested

Hello Day Creature, pleasure to meet you. I'm the declared paid editor for Pretium Partners. As a participant in Wiki project Edit requests, might you be willing to review the edit request I posted on the Talk page of Pretium's article? It's been sitting in the queue for some time, so I made the most basic, non controversial edits myself. My sense is that what is left needs additional editorial review. If you give me the OK, I can implement and save you some time. Appreciate your input and involvement. Thank you, B for Pretium (talk) 13:14, 21 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi, just so you know, I already receive notifications whenever you reply to me, so there's no need to post on my talk page each time. Day Creature (talk) 17:27, 25 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hi. I just submitted a new edit request at England. I'm sorry for the ping, but it's connected to the first one I made. Thank you. ~2026-31909-21 (talk) 00:07, 30 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Due to recent sockpuppet activity in the topic area and the fact that your requested changes have some similarity to those made by socks in the past, I've disengaged from answering edit requests on the England article to avoid any potential WP:PROXYING. Please do not ping me again about this. Day Creature (talk) 18:34, 30 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hereditary Peers

Thanks for the edit on my behalf, I would like you to add Seat abolished for me on the former Hereditary peers excluded this year please. ~2026-30058-63 (talk) 14:52, 27 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Where does this need to be added? You should be able to do it yourself, unless the article(s) are protected. Day Creature (talk) 17:00, 27 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

q:en:Jordan River

good morning, I would like to add a link to Wikiquote to the WP article for Jordan River, but Jordan River is a protected page.

May you add a link to WQ under the template for Wikimedia Commons? Thanks in advance for any eventual help. ~2026-31452-79 (talk) 08:02, 29 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Done. Day Creature (talk) 17:23, 29 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Islamic Republic of Iran Navy edits/reliable sourcing

Hello!

This is a follow-up to your message on Islamic Republic of Iran Navy's talk page. Thanks so much for the notice about the IRIS Alborz source being a deleted X post (my device has an administrator, and I was unable to see that it was deleted). I have found what I believe to be a more reliable source: https://www.globalmilitary.net/navies/irn/ (see the "Recent Fleet Changes" section). It does rely on open-source information (which could make it a version of Wikipedia), but given that it was used on another page related to the Iranian navy (List of current ships of the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy), I feel that it should be reliable (please notify me if not). MathLoverYeah (talk) 16:48, 5 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

It looks like that website used Wikipedia as its source for the ship's destruction (see [1]), so using it as a source would still be circular referencing. Day Creature (talk) 13:09, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Maiden name

Hey!

Thanks for adding Rashida Tlaib's maiden name in the introduction. Make sure it is also included in the birth name section in the infobox.

Thanks! Synth Legend (talk) 17:12, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Done, thanks for reminding me. Day Creature (talk) 17:14, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Of course! Also in the early life section, it still says Rashida Harbi and not "Rashida Harbi Elabed", could you fix that too! After that, you should be good!  :) Synth Legend (talk) 17:16, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
All set now. Day Creature (talk) 17:26, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Bloomberg Philanthropies, ER for Public health details

Hello Day Creature. I am reaching out to you because of your participation in Project Edit requests. Would you mind reviewing an edit request I posted on the Talk page of Bloomberg Philanthropies?

An editor deleted significant details, leaving the article lacking; I am working incrementally to reintroduce that information and fix the sourcing. Would be very grateful for your involvement and input. DLARoss (talk) 14:11, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello

Hello! Just a quick update, I have already submitted an edit request at Talk:Mahathir Mohamad regarding some wording that I believe may need clarification or revision. Feel free to have a look if you're interested. Thank you for your time and for your contributions to the article! ~2026-36417-63 (talk) 06:58, 24 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Just responded to you there. Out of curiosity, are you using any AI assistance to write your posts? Day Creature (talk) 07:02, 24 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Company page edit - LLM

Hi Day Creature

Thanks a lot for taking a look at the suggested edits for Framestore wiki page. There is a team of us working on the updates so the copy is generated by team members - hence the COI note - but we have used AI to help edit finesse the copy so it's easier to read/consistent. We are trying to follow the rules, but would be grateful to know what you would suggest in order for us to better reflect what the company does, and milestones.

Thank you Vfxinfilm (talk) 08:21, 7 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

AI-generated talk page posts and edit requests are not allowed, per WP:AITALK. Your comment also suggests that you may be sharing a Wikipedia account, which is likewise not allowed per WP:NOSHARE. Going forward, you should ensure that any edit requests you make are written entirely yourself without any AI assistance, and that only one individual uses your Wikipedia account and does not share it or its password with anyone else. Day Creature (talk) 18:39, 7 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
thank you. The Wikipedia account is my own, I'm not sharing it, me and my team mates are working together in an office to look at the company page, I then paste all our suggested edits in the talk page. I will start again! ~2026-38605-67 (talk) 20:36, 7 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

LLM edit requests question

Heyo, I've been stumbling across edit requests denied by you for LLM usage, and I just wanted to ask... what about Talk:Universal Avenue#Edit request: update Varvet status after 2018 made you think it was AI generated? Just curious, I want to improve my detection skills aand stuff pattersonuwu njz (talk) 17:23, 13 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Basically, the whole "conflict of interest disclosure" thing at the bottom. Use of a boldface heading like that followed by a colon is generally indicative of AI. Same with the "I am requesting a change here instead of editing the article directly." LLM-generated edit requests very commonly have identical or similar language, and it's the kind of negative parallelism ("it's not X, it's Y") that LLMs use all the time. Finally, the "If there are concerns, I am happy to do X" language at the end. LLMs love to insert these canned phrases at the end of edit requests; they always write them like they're emailing their boss. The use of Template:request edit rather than Template:edit COI is also a huge tell for me, as the LLMs are continually directing people to use this incorrect template. Other things you can look for that weren't in that specific request: general overuse of boldface and em dashes, use of Markdown and other Wikitext formatting errors, and references to "neutral", "independent" or "uninvolved" editors.
One of these days maybe I'll write up something like WP:AISIGNS but specifically for edit requests, as I think I've gotten pretty experienced at spotting them at this point. It helps to always ask yourself: would a human being who is making their 1st edit to Wikipedia really write something like this? Day Creature (talk) 17:48, 13 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
