Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by adding a space and four tildes to the end of the last line of your post, like this:

This is the last line of the post. ~~~~

The tildes will be automatically converted to a signature that contains your linked username and a timestamp to help keep conversations organized. I will sign mine accordingly with hopes you will remember me and will feel free to ask me any questions you have--or just say hi! Jenhawk777 (talk) 18:13, 15 October 2025

Pending changes reviewer granted

source ↗

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

AIV and UAA

Hi, and thank you for fighting vandalism! Regarding this, there are dedicated pages for reporting vandalism (WP:AIV) and violations of the username policy (WP:UAA), so you don't need to go through ANI. You can report accounts to there using Twinkle by going to their userpage -> clicking the TW dropdown -> clicking ARV. HurricaneZetaC 23:50, 4 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much, this will be much easier. Happy editing! Dafootballguy (talk) 03:13, 5 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted

source ↗

Hi Dafootballguy. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits. For more information about when rollback is appropriate, see Wikipedia:Rollback § When to use rollback.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the permission will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, and feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate use of rollback. If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin) and Wikipedia:Rollback. Good luck and thanks! * Pppery * it has begun... 15:28, 13 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Valentin Senn

On 2 May 2026, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Valentin Senn, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that NFL player Valentin Senn used to play the trumpet in the Swarovski Orchestra? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Valentin Senn. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Valentin Senn), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

You might want to look more carefully

you might want to look more carefully at that edit of mine you just reverted. You are making it difficult to correct erroneous information in the Wikipedia. Obviously Langorne died 1682, not 1862. ~2026-30714-98 (talk) 23:27, 21 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I messed up on that one. You are 100 percent correct. I apologize. Dafootballguy | Want to talk? 23:39, 21 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Toadspike would you mind dealing with this? Thank you. Dafootballguy | Want to talk? 22:48, 24 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think this question has anything to do with Wikipedia...@Shari Mayfield, we probably cannot help you with this. Toadspike [Talk] 14:21, 27 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Closing relisted discussions

Could you explain why you decided to close two of the discussions I relisted at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2026 May 22? These closes were inappropriate and premature since I was specifically asking for more input, and it's perfectly valid to perform a second relist (even if a discussion did not receive any input after the first relist). See: WP:RELIST, where it explains this with further detail. I went ahead and reverted both of your closes for the reasons I already stated above. CycloneYoris talk! 10:13, 22 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't aware of that, I apologize. I messed up and would like to thank you for correcting me. Dafootballguy | Want to talk? 22:36, 24 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Thank you for replying. You're welcome to help out at RfD whenever you decide to do so! CycloneYoris talk! 23:03, 26 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Registered report

Hi, I would say that Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Registered report was a WP:BADNAC: Extra care should be taken if a closure may be controversial or not clearly unambiguous. As a No Consensus close is intrinsically ambiguous, I would suggest leaving such discussions for admins to close. Thanks, Suriname0 (talk) 15:20, 25 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure what you mean, can you explain? Dafootballguy | Want to talk? 22:22, 25 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Simply: "No Consensus" is rarely or never an acceptable non-admin close. I would leave "No Consensus" closes for admins. Cheers, Suriname0 (talk) 02:45, 26 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
