I believe this and possibly hundreds of other taxa referring to "Moser" and linking to Josef Moser (entomologist) are actually Julius Moser, at least if these biographies are themselves correct. Thoughts? 1234qwer1234qwer4 01:10, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- Oh dear, could be.. I will look into it later, just got back from a week holiday. B33tleMania12 (talk) 12:50, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks! Let me know if I can help with fixing some of these semi-automatically; for instance, if the "Beitrag zur Kenntnis der Melolonthiden" articles are indeed Julius as stated in the Wikipedia article, I could adjust these 250 within a few minutes. (However, a lot of articles do not cite a primary source and would likely need more manual review.) 1234qwer1234qwer4 14:12, 26 April 2026 (UTC)
- I have been looking into it a bit, and I see no proof that Josef Moser was the author of any species at all (checked wikispecies, zobodat ([1], so it seems that all links to Josef can be changed to Julius. When doing a google search I also found a recent discussion on wikispecies [2] with the same conclusion. Could your bot handle transferring these articles to the correct author? Thanks for spotting! - Thanks! Replaced everything now. 1234qwer1234qwer4 17:52, 30 April 2026 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you started
Hi B33tleMania12. Thank you for your work on Comophini. Another editor, MPGuy2824, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
monotypic taxa articles should exist at the genus level.
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|MPGuy2824}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

- Ok, that is fine. Do you have rights to move it over the current redirect? Making this monotypic tribe was a bit of a puzzle for me, as you can see when looking at the taxobox mess. I hope someone can help cleaning it up and make it work.. B33tleMania12 (talk) 09:19, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
Done both. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 09:26, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
- Awesome, thanks! B33tleMania12 (talk) 09:27, 12 June 2026 (UTC)

Sci named articles in genus-level catagories
When moving an article with a scientific name (vice a common name) into a genus-level category, as you did with Brachysternus prasinus, please remember to give a sort key of the species epithet. For the Genus article, too, but the key should be blank. I have done the work for this category so you can see. Thanks! - In solidarity, UtherSRG (talk) 14:52, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
- Ok, will do.. but if you dont sort, it will sort on alphabet automatically wont it? B33tleMania12 (talk) 15:05, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
- See Category:Dalea for how it will look. Without the sort key, everything would end up in one pile. - In solidarity, UtherSRG (talk) 15:11, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
- Ah yes, by letter of the species. Ugh.. we should have a bot/automated process to do that! B33tleMania12 (talk) 19:20, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
- We probably could, if there was a 100% reliable way to detect which articles should be handled that way. WhatamIdoing (talk) 20:56, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
