Geography

Rodès is in the canton of Le Canigou and in the arrondissement of Prades.

Guillera Gorge, Rodès. Here, the Têt river has carved a steep gorge in the granite of the Hercynian Millas pluton. The arch and other stone structures on the opposite side of the river formed part of a medieval canal which carried water to a palace in Perpignan.The arched structure top left was part of a large granite quarry (La Devesa) which operated in the first half of the 20th century. source ↗
