Ostrowski (Polish pronunciation: [ɔsˈtrɔfskʲi]; feminine: Ostrowska; plural: Ostrowscy) is a surname of Polish-language origin. In Poland, the surname is a toponym for ostrów (meaning islet) and many place names that start with 'Ostrow', such as Ostrowiec.12
