The Islamic World Science and Technology Citation and Monitoring Institute (ISC) (Persian: موسسه استنادی و پایش علم و فناوری جهان اسلام) is an information and research center in Shiraz, which is an organization that provides services related to scientific research and publication, citation indexing, and scientific evaluation to the academic community of the Islamic world among 57 Islamic countries. The institute annually announces rankings of the top universities in Iran and the Islamic world.1 Regional Information Center for Science and Technology began operating in 1991 after the approval of the Higher Education Development Council and the approval of the Shura Council. Islamic World Science Citation Database was launched in 2008. In 2019, With the approval of the government, this center was merged and the Islamic World Science and Technology Citation and Monitoring Institute was established.2
It was announced in Baku, Azerbaijan during the Fourth Islamic Conference of the Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research held in October 2008.3 It is managed by the Islamic World Science Citation Center, located in Shiraz.
ISC's publications have been indexed in Scopus since 2009.4 ml
