It is sometimes misspelled as Hypericum cerastoides.45

Distribution and habitat

Hypericum cerastioides is found in southern Bulgaria, northeastern Greece, and northwestern Turkey. Its habitat includes meadows, rocky areas, and pine-beech woodlands on siliceous soils.3
