The Hunter 34 is an American sailboat, that was designed by Cortland Steck.1234
Production
The boat was built by Hunter Marine in the United States between 1983 and 1987, but it is now out of production.145
Design
The Hunter 34 is a small recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass, with wood trim. It has a masthead B&R rig, an internally-mounted spade-type rudder and a fixed fin keel. It displaces 11,820 lb (5,361 kg) and carries 5,000 lb (2,268 kg) of iron ballast.124
The boat has a draft of 5.50 ft (1.68 m) with the standard keel and 4.25 ft (1.30 m) with the optional shoal draft keel. It has a hull speed of 7.12 kn (13.19 km/h).1246
The boat is fitted with a Japanese Yanmar 3GM diesel engine. The fuel tank holds 25 U.S. gallons (95 L; 21 imp gal) and the fresh water tank has a capacity of 65 U.S. gallons (250 L; 54 imp gal).14
