Move to "Wikipedia:Source editor"

Right now Wikipedia:Source editorWikipedia:Source editor is a redirect to Help:Introduction to editing with Wiki Markup/1. I wanted to have a complement to Wikipedia:VisualEditor, and I was about to start writing a new information page, when I noticed that Help:Wikipedia development environment (redirect from Help:Wikitext editor) exists. I haven't encountered people calling the source editor a "Wikipedia development environment" before.

I propose to move Help:Wikipedia development environment to Wikipedia:Source editorWikipedia:Source editor. The corresponding wording in the lede should be changed to call the subject of the page "source editor". —andrybak (talk) 10:14, 5 July 2026 (UTC)[reply]

For reference: What links to "Wikipedia:Source editor" in all namespaces except "User talk" – two interesting templates link to the proposed target name. Template:Uw-bareurl, which is already substituted on many user pages (link count), and Template:VE documentation, which is transcluded on several help pages. —andrybak (talk) 10:23, 5 July 2026 (UTC)[reply]
