Leon Odell Griffith Sr. (1921–1984) was a journalist, publicist, publisher, and author in Florida. He wrote books about John Holliday Perry Sr. and Ed Ball as well as three novels.

Born in Crestview, Florida, he grew up in Bagdad, Florida.1

He served in the Marines during World War II. He worked for the Pensacola News-Journal, Tallahassee Democrat, and Florida Times-Union. He publised a political newsletter called The West Florida Official1 that included poetry, political commentary, and history.2

He lived in Milton, Florida in 1948.3

His novel A Long Time Since Morning is set in a North Florida town.4

His wife Mary C. Griffith wrote the biographical anthology Pensacola Women published in 1978.1

He is buried at Barrancas National Cemetery.5
