Bikini Moon went into initial production in April 2016 in New York City, and wrapped filming in June 2016.234
Release
The film's premiere was at the 41st Mostra Internacional de Cinema São Paulo, Brazil.567 Its New York premiere was in October 2018.
Reception
On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 60% of 5 critics' reviews are positive.8 Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the film a score of 57 out of 100, based on 4 critics, indicating "mixed or average" reviews.9
