2016 Inter-Provincial Trophy

The 2016 Inter-Provincial Trophy was the fourth edition of the Inter-Provincial Trophy, a 20 over cricket competition played in Ireland. It was held from 13 May to 5 August 2016. Leinster Lightning were the defending champions.

The 2016 Inter-Provincial Trophy was the fourth edition of the Inter-Provincial Trophy, a 20 over cricket competition played in Ireland. It was held from 13 May to 5 August 2016.12 Leinster Lightning were the defending champions.2

It was the final edition of the tournament without List A T20 status, which would be granted ahead of the 2017 season.3

Leinster Lightning won the tournament for the third consecutive time and would go on the achieve the Irish domestic treble that season.4
